Life Time Academy Vision Statement:
Stacy personal philosophy has always revolved around health, wellness, and fitness and has been very integrative. To her, exercise is a lifestyle. She wants to be able to educate others on that philosophy and to use the proper tools to do so. She brings leadership skills, assertiveness, and the ability to encourage others to strive towards a successful career while having fun to her role as a Life Time Academy Instructor.
About the Instructor:
Stacy currently works at the Life Time Athletic location in Rockville, Maryland. Aside from her role as a Life Time Academy Instructor, Stacy is a Master Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, Nutrition Coach, On boarding Specialist, and Metabolic Technician. Her tenure with Life Time has been since 2006, grand opening the Columbia, MD location where she soon became the Regional Metabolic Specialist in 2007. Stacy brings over 20 years of industry experience to the Academy.
She began her career in the fitness industry when she was in college as a Group Fitness Instructor in 1998 teaching cycling. Her personal training career began in 2000. She always has been active growing up; playing sports, lifting weights, and defining the “”odds””. She wrestled at the age of 14 in high school because she was too short to play basketball to then wrestle collegiality for the Springfield College Men’s wrestling team, making NCAA history. She is an avid runner of races with her clients, a competitive power lifter for over 20 years, and a flying trapeze artist (yes, like in the circus).
She has an extensive educational background that she enjoys sharing with not only her clients, but with other trainers and students. She graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. Her educational and professional background is in physiology, rehabilitation, bio-mechanics, and exercise science through the continuing education courses and certifications she has attended. To Stacy, there is more to being a personal trainer than counting repetitions. It is building the relationships with those to whom you impact day in and day out that matter the most.
