Intensive Mat-Plus™ (IMP)
This IMP course is ideal for professionals seeking to expand upon their industry knowledge and expertise. We focus on equipping you with the skills to design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES Matwork repertoire. Whether you’re aiming to instruct personal sessions or group classes, our curriculum is crafted to ensure you can cater to a diverse range of clients.
By the end of your journey with us, you will have a robust foundation in STOTT PILATES principles, enabling you to create engaging, effective, and motivating Pilates Matwork courses. Life Time Academy is committed to your growth as a fitness professional, ensuring that you walk away with not just an education, but a transformative skill set that enhances your teaching and enriches your clients’ experience.
What you will learn

Requirements of certification
- 40 hours of instruction and supervised teaching
- Minimum of 10 hours of observation
- Minimum of 30 hours of physical review
- Minimum of 15 hours of practice teaching
- Total: 95 hours
Intensive Reformer (IR)
This IR curriculum is designed to build upon your existing industry knowledge, guiding you through the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES Reformer repertoire. The course is structured to empower you to confidently design and lead Reformer-based Pilates sessions, whether for individual clients or group classes, across a wide spectrum of abilities and needs.
Upon completion, you will possess a solid foundation and the necessary skills to create effective and inspiring Pilates Reformer courses. While this Reformer course (IR) can be undertaken before our Matwork course (IMP), we typically recommend that students begin with IMP to establish a comprehensive groundwork in Pilates principles. However, the choice is yours, and we are here to support your educational journey in a way that best suits your professional development at Life Time Academy.

- Effective use of the Reformer to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral extremity conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination

- 50 hours of instruction and supervised teaching
- Minimum of 10 hours of observation
- Minimum of 40 hours of physical review
- Minimum of 25 hours of practice teaching
